What happens when a background in engineering, auditing, and project management all converge in one role? For Gabriela Panzariuc, QA Software Engineer in the Infinity Daniela Team and Internal Auditor in the ISO Team at ABS Laundry Business Solutions, the answer is a career built on precision, structure, and a genuine commitment to getting things right the first time. Here is a closer look at the journey, the role, and the person behind the dual responsibilities.

An Engineer’s Path to Quality

Gabriela joined ABS in November 2022, stepping into the Infinity Daniela Team as QA Software Engineer while also taking on the role of Internal Auditor within the ISO Team, drawing on her background as an ISO specialist.

An engineer by training, she graduated in Engineering and Quality Management from Politehnica University of Bucharest and holds a master’s degree in Quality Engineering. Over more than 20 years in quality assurance, she has worked across a wide range of management systems, including quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, information security, and IT service management under ITIL, along with NATO and EU quality requirements in defense and quality assurance in the nuclear field.

In the years before joining ABS, she moved from a controlling role into an operational one as a Project Manager, coordinating IT projects in cybersecurity and eLearning funded by European programs, a path that eventually led her to quality assurance in software.

Two Roles, One Mission

In her ISO capacity, Gabriela supports and maintains the ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 management systems, monitors compliance with applicable requirements, coordinates internal audit activities, and follows up on findings and improvement actions.

In her QA role within the Infinity Team, her daily work centers on the quality and reliability of ABS software throughout the development process. This means reviewing requirements, preparing and executing test scenarios, identifying and reporting defects, and verifying that implemented solutions meet expectations, all in close collaboration with developers to clarify requirements and resolve questions as they arise.

Bringing Structure to Every Team She Touches

Gabriela adds value by bringing an independent and structured perspective to processes, spotting gaps and areas for improvement, and helping teams translate ISO requirements into practical, sustainable ways of working.

Through internal audits, follow up actions, and documentation, she supports a culture of continuous improvement and shared responsibility for quality across departments.

Quality as a Shared Responsibility

Because quality touches every stage of a project, Gabriela collaborates closely with Project Management, Product Management, Development, and other relevant teams throughout the project lifecycle.

This close alignment helps the wider organization identify potential gaps earlier, reduce rework, and ensure that the final solution meets both business requirements and customer expectations.

A Team That Matches Her Mindset

Gabriela describes ABS as having a collaborative and supportive work culture, where people are generally willing to help each other and share knowledge.

She speaks highly of the Infinity Daniela Team in particular, calling it one of the most enthusiastic and disciplined teams she has worked with, one whose mindset and way of working suit her well and which supports her ISO activities in return.

Tools and Methods Behind the Scenes

Innovative tools and technologies help Gabriela and her colleagues work more efficiently, improve communication, and increase the reliability of testing and delivery processes.

Whether she is verifying a test scenario or following up on an audit finding, the underlying approach stays the same: identify what could go wrong, understand the root cause, and build a process that prevents it from happening again.

A Broader Role on the Horizon

Gabriela sees the role of Internal Auditor increasingly acting as a bridge between ISO requirements and the way teams actually work, helping surface potential risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement before they grow into larger challenges.

As ABS evolves and adopts new technologies and ways of working, she expects the role to require a deeper understanding of emerging risks, particularly around information security, AI, and digital processes, all while keeping an independent and objective point of view.

Reliability as the Real Reward

Whether approaching her work from a QA perspective or an ISO perspective, Gabriela sees her role as helping teams catch potential challenges early, improve how they work, and reduce risk before it ever reaches the customer.

She particularly values working with colleagues such as Joris Minnaar (Solutions Architect), whose experience with security related topics has broadened her own perspective and strengthened the security lens she brings to her ISO and QA work.

For Gabriela, successful project delivery is never just about finishing on time. It is about delivering something reliable, secure, and maintainable, building the kind of confidence that lets customers keep relying on ABS Laundry Business Solutions for the long run.
