From 7 to 9 October 2026, ABS Laundry Business Solutions attended the 41st Study Days of the URBH (Union des Responsables de Blanchisserie Hospitalière) at the Cité des Congrès in Nantes. The event brings together hospital laundry managers and industry experts from across France to discuss the latest developments in the profession.

Jean-Luc Bertin and Rémi Uriet, Sales Manager, represented ABS during the event. Their days were filled with conversations with laundry professionals, valuable exchanges with partners and a programme full of practical insights.

 

Study Days Rooted in Practice

The URBH Study Days combine technical sessions, workshops and peer exchanges between hospital laundry professionals. The focus lies on skills development, operational challenges and new developments in linen management and related services. For ABS, the event offered an excellent opportunity to connect with the sector, share perspectives and learn about the trends shaping hospital laundries in 2026.

Key Themes of the Programme

Hospital laundry renovations. Experiences from Montpellier, Montélimar and Clermont Ferrand on guiding teams through change.
Industrial maintenance. Continuity of service, reliable equipment and tools for maintenance management.
Artificial intelligence. Practical experiences with AI in industrial laundries and its role in the RABC approach to biocontamination control.
Water savings. The experience of Colmar on environmental performance and the management of consumption.
Six Sigma management. A method to reduce process variability, illustrated by the experience of Poitiers.
Protection against heat. The new decree and the means available to protect laundry staff during periods of high temperatures.

Looking Ahead to Biarritz

ABS looks back on three inspiring days in Nantes and thanks the URBH for a well organised and welcoming event. The 42nd Study Days will take place in Biarritz in 2027. More information is available on the URBH website.
